MetFest Met Museum Block Party

Metropolitan Museum of Art_nyconthecheapMetFest is the Met Museum’s first ever block party, with FREE events on the iconic front steps and more inside the museum.Outdoor events include live music, carnival stilt walkers, a Double Dutch showcase and more.

Events inside the museum include behind-the-scenes tours, art-making workshops and more - those are available with museum admission.

MetFest is Saturday, Oct. 2, Noon to 6pm.

Drop by for an hour, or spend the entire day - in-person or online.  If you can’t join the party in person, there will be a livestream of the outdoor events plus at-home activities for the entire family.

MetFest honors the central role of art in our lives and highlights the resilience of New York City and its people.

Some programs will be available e in Spanish and simplified Chinese. The full schedule of events will be available on or before Friday, October 1.

Outdoor MetFest programs are free. Indoor programs are free with Museum admission.

Museum admission is free for Met Members and kids under 12.

For New York State residents and NY, NJ, and CT students, the amount you pay is up to you.
