freebies and deals for people who have been vaccinatedCovid Vaccination Deals  in Connecticut

Through June 1, diners who have received at least one vaccination shot can get a FREE drink at Connecticut restaurants participating in the state-wide #CTDrinksOnUs promotion,

Customers who present proof of inoculation - and buy food from the restaurant hosting them - can select an alcoholic or nonalcoholic beverage off a special menu drafted by the participating place. Only one selection off the free-drink menu is permitted per vaccinated guest

The offer began on May 19. That’s the date Connecticut ends capacity limits and virtually all other restrictions except a facemask requirement.

free beer for those who have been vaccinatedCovid Vaccination Deals in New Jersey

The state was teaming up with more than a dozen local breweries for the “Shot and a Beer” project.

Any New Jersey resident over 21 who gets their first vaccine dose in the month of May and takes their vaccination card to a participating brewery will receive a free beer.

The rollout is part of the state’s “Operation Jersey Summer,” which aims to encourage immunization and make the vaccine more available by offering walk-in appointments at mega-sites and other locations.

Dinner with Gov. Murphy

Anyone 18 and older who has been vaccinated in New Jersey can enter an online contest to win a dinner with Gov. Murphy and first lady Tammy Murphy.  The winner can choose to join them either at Drumthwacket, the official residence  in Princeton, or at Island Beach State Park.

The deadline to enter is May 31.

Free state park pass

The NJ Dept. of Environmental Protection is offering  a free “State Parks Vax Pass” to all residents who get at least one vaccination dose by July 4.

The pass, which is of the same value as the annual State Parks Pass, will allow free access to any state park that charges entrance or parking fees for the rest of 2021.

The DEP will also issue refunds to residents who have already purchased a State Parks Pass for 2021 if they show their vaccination card.

Also - FREE Covid Card Lamination Services

Staples, Office Depot, and OfficeMax

Keep your vaccination card preserved with free lamination from Staples, Office Depot and OfficeMax. Bring your card in for the free service through July 25.

  • NYCOTC tip - It’s also a good idea to take a photo of your card on your smartphone.  I have both - a smartphone photo and the card laminated FREE by my nearest Staples.
