Southwest Airlines is starting 2022 with sale on spring travel with fares as low as $39 one-way.
The airfare deal is for tickets purchased through 11:59pm CST on Jan. 6, 2022, for travel between Jan. 18 and May 18, 2022.
The deal is for travel within the Continental U.S., continental U.S. to and from Hawaii, to and from San Juan, Puerto Rico, inter-island Hawaii, and international travel.
Unless otherwise specified, continental U.S. travel is valid only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A 14-day advance purchase is required.
Visit www.Southwest.com to view fares as well as additional terms and conditions.
Examples of one-way, low-fare spring getaways include:
As low as $39 one-way nonstop between Atlanta and Panama City Beach, Fla.;
as low as $39 one-way nonstop between Baltimore/Washington (BWI) and Syracuse;
as low as $39 one-way nonstop between Phoenix and Palm Springs, Calif.;
as low as $59 one-way nonstop between Las Vegas and Bellingham, Wash.;
as low as $89 one-way nonstop between Denver and Santa Barbara, Calif.
Southwest flies out of LaGuardia, but the lowest price I could find between NYC and Albuquerque or Milwaukee is nowhere near $39 - it’s $108.
Even so, Southwest gives you two free checked bags on most flights - which is a saving of $50 more or less from other airlines - weight and size limits apply.
Also, At Southwest Airlines, there are no change fees (fare difference may apply) and no cancellation fees, although failure to cancel a reservation at least 10 minutes prior to scheduled departure may result in forfeited travel funds.
And, remember, non-refundable fares are just that - non-refundable. You’ll get a voucher for a future flight. Be sure to use it - Alaska Airlines just cancelled a $447.90 voucher I had on a Covid-cancelled flight, without notifying me it was cancelling my credit 45 days before it expired.
