POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

nyc restaurant weekNYC Restaurant Week is back with great meal deals. Through Feb. 13, get two-course prix-fixed lunches for $29 or $39 or three-course prix-fixed dinners for $59.

These Brooklyn restaurants in Williamsburg and Greenpoint are participating, some with both lunch and dinner, others only with dinner.

Reservations are recommended - even required, especially at dinner.

Reserve directly on the restaurant website and mention Restaurant Week.

Fornino

In Greenpoint, the popular pizza spot is participating for all four weeks with $29 lunches and dinners, making it one of the most affordable options on the list, since hardly any restaurants anywhere in town are offering the lunch price at dinner.

  • Fornino is at 849 Manhattan Ave.

Leuca

This upscale Italian restaurant is offering $59 dinners( no lunch) for the four weeks.  The Restaurant Week menu offers the following -

Antipasti - choice of
Smoked beets, Winter Citrus, Pine Nut Agrodolce, Goat Yogurt
Octopus Arancini, Saffron Aioli, Pickled Chili
Crostino Toscano, Figs, Balsamic, Caciocavallo

Secondi - choice of
Casarecce, Eggplant Sugo, Fiore Sardo
Wood-Roasted Dorade, Fennel, Olives, Citrus
Short Rib Braciole, Rosemary Gremolata, Potato Lasagna

Dolce (dessert) - choice of
Sicilian Pistachio Cake, Olive Oil Gelato, Chocolate Budino, Hazelnut Gelato

  • Leuca is at 111 North 12th St.

De Mole

This little Mexican gem has $39 lunches and $59 dinners for the four weeks.

De Mole Specializes in Mole Poblano, widely known throughout Mexico as a staple dish, and housemade here.   The lunch menu includes chicken poblano at lunch and tuna ceviche and carne asada (steak, melted cheese and chipotle sauce at dinner.  The dessert menu also includes one of my personal favorites, Tres Leches.

There’s also a bottomless weekend brunch for after Restaurant Week.

  • De Mole is at 2 Hope St.

Kokomo

Get a taste of the islands at this Caribbean hotspot, which is offering $59 dinners for the first three weeks only, until February 6th.

The Restaurant Week menu includes an unusual plaintain soup, coconut curry mussels, coconut curry meatballs, jerk chicken and bread pudding for dessert.

  • Kokomo is at 65 Kent Ave.

Santo Parque and Santo Brucklin

The pair of relatively new Brazilian spots - Santo Parque in Williamsburg and sister site Santo Bruklin in Carroll Gardens - are offering  $59 dinners for four weeks. Again, there’s nothing specific to Restaurant Week on their websites, so we have to trust.

  • Santo Parque is across the street from McCarren Park in Williamsburg, at 232 North 12th St.
  • Santo Bruklin is at 549 Court St.

Recette

This is the first time French bistro Recette is participating in Restaurant Week, and they are doing it with $59 dinners for four weeks.

The menu includes traditional Steak Tartare, served with a quail egg and cornichons as an appetizer, steak frites as a main, and traditional creme brulee for dessert.  That’s my idea of a perfrect meal!

  • Recette is at 103 Havemeyer St.

Gertie

The always-popular Gertie will offer $29 lunches for four weeks.  Gertie describes itself as a modern “Jew-ish” diner.

The Restaurant Week menu includes a choice of soup or salads, and a turkey sub or salmon bialy sandwich.

  • Gertie is at 357 Grand St.

NSA Noodle Bar

Although it does not publish a specific Restaurant Week menu on its website, NSA Noodle Bar reportedly offers $39 lunches and $59 dinners for four weeks.

Regular menu items include Wagyu skewers, seasonal gyoza and several varieties of ramen.

  • NSA Noodle Bar is at 135b North 5th St.

Additional Brooklyn locations participating in NYC Restaurant Week include:

  • Gentle Perch (112 Graham Ave.),
  • Mission (599 Johnson Ave.), and
  • Palomas BK (1 Knickerbocker Ave.)
