free cookies for essential workers

Image: Insomnia Cookies

Insomnia Cookies is giving thanks to the Essential Workers who continue to work day-in and day-out to keep our spirits bright while making sure we are safe and cared for with FREE cookies.

Through Sunday, Jan 2, essential workers can get a free cookie (no purchase necessary) or a free six-pack with a $5 purchase at any of the company’s 200 locations nationwide, including here in NYC, where Insomnia Cookies has several locations, including more than a dozen in Manhattan.

The deal is available for all healthcare workers, first responders, civic employees, and UPS/FedEx/USPS/Amazon delivery drivers.

But there’s no free cookie deal for the doormen and other building security personnel, supermarket delivery drivers or supermarket cashiers or those who stacked the shelves with essential products, or the many others that we in New York City consider “essential” and have depended upon for these last stressful 30 months.

And it also doesn’t include the absolutely essential worker from Spectrum who just fixed my cable box and internet connection and got it working again.  Whoever doesn’t think the Cable Guy is an essential worker has chocolate chips for brains.

Such non-essential workers can buy Insomia Cookies for around $1 apiece.  There’s a holiday discount deal for 24 cookies for just $22.

Eligible essential workers must be in uniform or show a form of ID.
