Hudson River Park is calling it the UnGala, since it’s virtual, but it still has a long list of celebrity participants, an auction, and some family-friendly fun and games.
It’s FREE to attend, but since this is a fund-raiser to support park programs, including the fabulous new Pier 26 Eco-Park, you are encouraged to donate.
Participating celebrities include David Broza, David Chang, Andy Cohen, Lea DeLaria, Charlotte Groeneveld-Van Haren, Jenna Bush Hager, Julianne Moore, and more.
Martha Stewart has created a special UnGala martini for the occasion - to toast one of NYC’s favorite parks. The recipe is below.
Hudson River Park UnGala is tonight, starting at 7:45pm.

Presented by the Hudson River Park Friends Board of Directors, the HRPK UnGala supports all that Hudson River Park provides, including more than four miles of open space, playgrounds, ballparks, a skateboard park and more.
As we all know, NYC parks, including Hudson River Park, provide an essential source of wellbeing and strength – a lifeline for New Yorkers – lifting our spirits in the face of great adversity.
What do you wear to an UnGala?
Instead of the fancy evening finery that normally attends a gala event, HRPK suggests you dress to the nines in your comfiest pajamas or anything else suitable for being seen, virtually, of course.
Tag #HRPKUnGala:
Throughout the night, we’ll be sharing your UnGala Instagram pics! Snap a selfie, share how you’re celebrating your UnGala moment on social media, and tag #HRPKUnGala on Instagram and Twitter.
Pick Your Zoom Room:
Before and after the main program, there will be opportunities to join the celebration in Zoom rooms. Choose from Wildflowers, Take Me to the River and We Are Family, then an after party room for all. Coordinate with your friends so you can enjoy the evening together.
