Get 15% off at H&M with donation of your old clothes

POSTED BY
Evelyn Kanter

Reminder to recycle your closet and get 15% off at H&M. The clothing chain is collecting old clothing at all locations in New York City and nationwide. Any brand, any quality, any condition.

For every bag of clothes you bring in to an H&M store, you’ll get a voucher good on a new purchase. What is in good condition will go to the poor and homeless, and what isn’t, will be recycled into things like cleaning cloths or shredded for reuse as insulation and sound-proofing by the automobile industry.

There are several H&M locations in NYC, including the flagship location in Times Square and in the Time Warner Center in Columbus Circle. Click here to find the location nearest you anywhere in the United States.

Considering that 95% of unwanted textiles can be recycled, re-purposed and re-used, you can save the environment and your budget by keeping your unwanted clothing out of landfills.

Thanks, H&M for doing this. And thanks to sister site Chicago on the Cheap for alerting us to this H&M program.
