Coney Island’s two amusement parks, Luna Park and Deno’s Wonder Wheel re-open on Friday, April 9 after 18 months of shut-down, both with new attendance rules, including advance reservations.
The rides - including the world-famous Cyclone roller coaster - will be at 33 percent capacity to meet NY State and NYC requirements. plus social distancing, face masks and temperature checks are required prior to entry.
The Cyclone is regarded as one of the world’s best roller coasters.
Luna Park at Coney Island
You have to reserve a two-hour “unlimited access” admission wristband prior to arriving.
Get a “Family Fun” wristband for more of the milder attractions, or a “Thrill Seeker” wristband for more of the coasters and exciting rides.
Deno’s Wonder Wheel Park at Coney Island
The other Coney Island park, Deno’s Wonder Wheel Amusement Park, which houses the famous Wonder Wheel ferris wheel, also reopens for the 2021 season on Friday, April 9.
The iconic Wonder Wheel turned 100 in 2020, but was unable to celebrate because of the lockdown, so the 100th Anniversary party is this year, over Memorial Day Weekend.

As with Luna Park, your ticket entitles you to two hours of rides.
There’s also a standby line for tickets, and they are planning a new roller coaster.
