It’s less known, but also true, that you can get discounts, deals, and freebies when you celebrate your wedding anniversary by dining out.
Some deals are just for you and your significant other, and all require dining in, no take-out. And, of course, celebration beverages and tips for the waitstaff are not included.
Some deals are on your anniversary, others are on the anniversary of the day you sign up for the program.
All you need to do to qualify for a free anniversary gift is to sign up for a restaurant’s mailing list, eClub or whatever they call their frequent diner loyalty card.
Be ready to receive regular email notices of other deals and discounts throughout the year, not just on your anniversary.
The restaurants on this list do ask for actual proof of a wedding or an anniversary date beyond whatever date you enter in the registration field. Nor do they ask whether you tied the knot legally, or are just in a committed relationship or partnership.
So you can register another special anniversary date in your life, such as your engagement date, even the anniversary date of your mortgage-burning ceremony.

My sources tell me, based on the birthday freebie Steak ‘N Shake offers, that your free anniversary food will be a cheeseburger and fries.
