Top NYC coffee shops offer $1 brews

Monday Menus. Our cup runneth over with this great coffee deal: $1 coffee from locally owned gourmet coffee shops in Manhattan. The coffee shops have partnered with a new FREE app that’s adding locations to the list faster than you can say caffeine fix.

The $1 deal also includes gourmet tea. Definitely not the swill you get from street carts or from vending machines, or the overpriced stuff at Starbucks, but freshly brewed gourmet

The aptly named App of Joe shows you participating shops nearby, and allows you to pre-order and pay through the app, and go directly to the head of the line to pick up your caffeinated beverage.

The $1 coffee deal is only for what used to be called “regular” coffee. Or, you can upgrade to a cappuccino for $2, or add an extra shot to anything for 30 cents.

The $1 coffee app has signed up more than two dozen coffee shops in the Lower East Side, Greenwich Village, Flatiron and Midtown, and we’re hoping it expands, both in the number of shops and the number of NYC neighborhoods. The list includes Golden Crepes in Flatiron and Blue Moon Café on LES.
