Xi’an Famous Foods opened over the weekend on the Upper West Side. It’s the latest outpost of this growing and popular Chinese restaurant chain known for savory hand-pulled noodles, pork burgers, soups, low prices and long lines to get in at its original location in Flushing, and the newer locations in Chinatown, Midtown, East Village, and Greenpoint.
Seriously, it’s worth standing in line for $5 noodle dishes and $2.75 burgers. Here’s the full menu
New York Magazine has named Xi’an’s Savory Cumin Lamb Hand-Pulled Noodles the best noodles in the city.
Xi’An Famous Foods is run by 25-year-old Jason Wang and his father, and is named for the city in China that is home to those iconic Terra Cotta Warriors.
