Monday Menus: The burgers, fries and shakes here are Vegan, but don’t let that stop you from enjoying a hearty meal for under $15. VBurger opened recently in Union Square, with overstuffed veggie burgers priced between $7.50 and $8.95, loaded with organic lettuce, tomato, mushrooms and Chipotle sauce.
VBurger was founded by Robert Cox, a former banker and an animal rights advocate, who is donating ten percent of VBurger profits to Mercy for Animals.
There’s a similarly stuffed grilled Portobello sandwich, and Vegan Caesar salad and more.
Save room for dessert, and indulge on a classic, old-fashioned Whoppie Pie.
VBurger is at 815 Broadway, between 11th and 12 Streets, sharing space with The Hummus & Pita Co. Open daily, noon to 10pm Monday-Saturday, until 9pm on Sunday.
