Register now to try out for one of the most visible jobs in sports – ballperson at the U.S. Open tennis championships in Queens next month. The U. S. Open is hiring 80 people age 14 and over who will run after tennis balls that go out of play. You don’t have to know anything about tennis, just be nible and quick on your feet and have better than average catching skills.. Of course, it helps if you do love tennis and show up for your job interview in tennis clothing.
Pre-register now for the U. S. Open Ballperson Tryout on Thursday, June 20th at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens this Thursday to try out for one of about 80 coveted spots as a ballperson for the 2013 U.S. Open. And, yes, it is a paid position. Make sure you brush up on your running, throwing and catching skills. The FREE try-outs are at 3 p.m. and it’s also FREE to watch the ballperson tryouts.
The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center is in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, a short walk from the last stop on the #7 train.
