Attention filmmakers: get ready to submit your feature films, short films and interactive works for showing at the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival. TFF has just announced submission deadline dates for next year’s ten-day event, April 13-24, and the first deadline is just a month away.
Once again, the Tribeca Film Festival is promoting gender diversity. One-third of the 2015 feature film program’s directors were women, which is a stronger showing than in Hollywood. TFF is continuing that momentum in 2016, as TFF reteams with Coach to present The Nora Ephron Prize for the third straight year, awarding $25,000 to one special female filmmaker.
Deadline dates for U.S. and international film submissions are as follows:
September 14, 2015: Submissions open for feature films, short films, interactive storytelling projects
October 16, 2015: Early deadline for feature films and short films
November 25, 2015: Official entry deadline for feature films, short films, interactive storytelling projects
December 23, 2015: Late entry deadline for feature length world-premiere films only
Complete information regarding eligibility and rules and regulations for the 2016 Tribeca Film Festival are now be available on the TFF submissions page here.
