Time Warner Cable has pulled the plug on CBS. Try to tune into Channel 2, local or network, and you get a “sorry” message. Right. Really sorry these two giant media companies couldn’t come to an agreement over broadcast fees.
I’m a Time Warner customer — cable TV and internet. And I am four-letter-word furious that I can’t watch the news, 60 Minutes, The Good Wife, or popular new series like Under the Dome. In addition to the blackout of CBS in New York City, Los Angeles and Dallas, CBS-owned properties Showtime, TMC, FLIX, and Smithsonian have gone dark for all Time Warner Cable subscribers.
Where is the FCC? Both these companies use the public airwaves.
It’s a stupid non-productive stand-off. It will just drive TWC subscribers away, to live streaming sites like Aereo and Hulu.
