TD Bank has a simple program to encourage kids to read books during summer vacation – pay them to read. It’s simple — read ten books before school resumes this fall, and TD Bank will pay the reader $10. Just download the registration form, list the books as your child finishes them, and take the completed form to your local TD Bank branch for the pay-off. The $10 is deposited into the child’s new or existing Youth Saver account, which also teaches children the value of saving.
Barnes & Noble also has a summer reading program – read ten books and get one free. NYCOTC recommends you double-down and register for both, using the same books for both. That way, your child gets both a $10 reward from TD Bank and a free book from Barnes & Noble.
This mom and grandmom thanks both Barnes & Noble and TD Bank for encouraging kids to read with these free programs. What are your kids and grandkids reading this summer?
