Where to go if you don’t want to freeze your buns off at MetStadium or join the crowd in Times Square? Rent a luxury hotel penthouse suite and split the tab among a group of friends. For the price of one ticket to the game, you and 20 or 30 BB’s (best buddies) can see the Meadowlands across the Hudson River through floor-to-ceiling windows of Trump SoHo while you watch the game on two two 46-inch Bang & Olufsen BeoVision 10 TVs and hear the cheers on the Bang & Olufsen BeoPlay A9 sound system.
There are eight penthouse suites available, ranging in size from 1,600 to a small mega-mansion, 2,300 square feet. The price includes having your suite decked out in your favorite team colors and some autographed team memorabilia. The $4,000 rate also includes overnight accommodations for six. Room service for the game day menu, drinks and chips is extra.
Four grand sounds like a lot, until you realize that’s a bit more the price of one of the least expensive tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII, in the nosebleed section, and if you divide up the $4,000 among 20 friends, you are around $200 each. You’ll just have to do a Super Bowl coin toss to decide which six of you get to sleep over.
