New York City continues to celebrate Super Bowl XLVIII through the end of February at these three football themed museum exhibits.
Metropolitan Museum of Art: Gridiron Greats is a display of vintage football trading cards printed between the 1890s and 1950s. The display includes trading cards of legendary coach Knute Rockne and Olympian Jim Thorpe, one of the 20th century’s greatest athletes, along with rare photos of early varsity teams. Exhibit website
Children’s Museum of Manhattan: Kids wil enjoy the interactive exhibit You Make the Call: Learn to be An NFL Official through Feb. 28. Exhibit website.
Museum of the Moving Image: Video game fans will enjoy Madden NFL: 25 Years and Running, a look at the popular football video game, at the Museum of the Moving Image in Astoria, Queens, through Feb. 23. Museum exhibit website.
