The Sound of Porsche is a FREE pop-up Porsche museum that includes the chance to race a Porsche virtually on an interactive exhibit, and a chance to win a trip to the real Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, Germany.
In addition to the Virtual Driving Experience, you can put your own creative talents to the test at the Design Corner, including a special design challenge.
Additional displays explore the story behind the Porsche brand, including its racing history which includes the Porsche SSP Spyder racecar, pictured here during a recent American LeMans race.
Read the article on Fodors’com by NYC on the Cheap editor Evelyn Kanter about a recent visit to the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart where one of my favorite spots is the “sound cones” where you can compare the purrs and roars of different engines.
Few vehicles connect the senses of sound, sight, feel and performance the way a Porsche does, and few vehicles are as instantly recognizable as a Porsche.
The Sound of Porsche is at 446 West 14th Street in the Meatpacking District. It will be open daily, 10 AM to 7 PM, Tuesday, September 16th to Sunday, October 5th. Drooling is permitted.
