Move over Steak ‘n’ Shake and Five Guys, you’ve got competition from Smashburger, now open in midtown, across the street from the Empire State Building and down the block from Macy’s and Madison Square Garden.
The space at 10 West 33rd Street opened on April 10, with both the regular Smashburger menu and special local NYC additions including the New Yorker, a burger topped with New York State Cheddar cheese, garlic grilled onions, spinach, tomato and peppercorn garlic aioli on a brioche bun.
The NYC Smashburger offers fresh salads, hand-breaded chicken sandwiches, veggie frites, Häagen-Dazs milk shakes, and beer and wine.
The NYC Smashburger is the chain’s tenth location in New York State for the Denver-based chain.
Regular restaurant hours are 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily.
