Reminder: Shake Shack celebrates its 10th Anniversary today with FREE birthday cake, music and more. The celebration started Monday with special gourmet burgers created by top NYC chefs, available all week, in the original Madison Square Park location only.
Today, Thursday, June 12th – Shake Shack’s actual anniversary – there’s FREE birthday cake baked by the famous cronut guy, Dominique Ansel, and a hot dog cart with a pay-what-you-wish policy, with all proceeds donated to the Madison Square Park Conservancy and NYC Parks, and . Plus, live music from 1PM to 7:30PM.
The birthday cake giveaway starts at 4PM, but the line is sure to start well before that.
You could also get in line for the specialty burgers, available through tomorrow. The line-up of world-class chefs includes Daniel Boulud (Chef/Owner, DANIEL, Café Boulud, db bistro, Bar Boulud, Boulud Sud, DBGB, and more), David Chang (Chef/Owner, Momofuku), Andrew Zimmern (Chef/Co-Owner, Andrew Zimmern’s Canteen, and Host of Bizarre Foods America on Travel Channel), Daniel Humm (Chef/Owner, Eleven Madison Park and The Nomad), and April Bloomfield (Chef/Co-Owner, The Spotted Pig, The Breslin, The John Dory Oyster Bar, Salvation Taco, and Tosca Cafe).
There are just 1,000 of the special $8.50 burgers available each day, and Shake Shack is donating $1.00 from each burger sold to the Madison Square Park Conservancy and NYC Parks. Wash down the birthday burgers with a special IPA created just for the Shake Shack birthday by Brooklyn Brewery, served in a commemorative birthday cup.
See details about the birthday burger ingredients on the full NYCOTC posting earlier this week.
