The 18th annual Sephardic Jewish Film Festival celebrates the Jewish experience around the world, plus and conversations with filmmakers and artists, and a FREE screening for families.
The festival, through March 19th, includes films from Argentina and Israel, “Before the Revolution”, a film in Farsi with subtitles documenting Jewish life in Iraq, and other films about the forced departure of Jews from Morocco, Iran and elsewhere.
The FREE screening for families is Sunday, featuries the story of Purim by Shalom Sesame, Israel’s Sesame Street, and a celebration of the Persian New Year, Narooz.
The 18th annual Sephardic Jewish Film Festival is at the Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th St. Tickets are $15 online ($20 at the door), or a day pass for $26.
