Have a fabulous time while supporting an important cause, Hurricane Sandy relief. The Jingle Bell Rockaway Festival, at the Belle Harbor Yacht Club in Rockaway, will benefit efforts to rebuild Rockaway Park, which suffered heavily in the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy. Many there were left without homes, electricity, hot water, heat — and even hope — after an 11-foot ocean surge hit the peninsula.
Now it’s a race against time to repair the damage, and funds are dwindling. The Jingle Bell Rockaway Festival is Sunday, December 16 and features feature live music and a variety of brews produced in New York and New Jersey, as well as BBQ from the new House of ‘Que, featuring authentic Austin BBQ by renowned pit-master Mike Rodriguez. Bartenders will be those displaced from their jobs in Rockaway Park, so you can further support them with your tips.
One ticket option provides for bus transportation from New York City to Rockaway and back again. Click here for tickets, which are $20 or less.
