Happy 85th Birthday today to the Cyclone in Coney Island. Luna Park is celebrating with a blow-out birthday today, Saturday, June 30th, with 25 cent rides on the world-famous roller coaster. Starting at noon, a ride on the Cyclone will cost just 25 cents, the price when the Cyclone opened in 1927.
But the 25 cent deal is just for 85 minutes.
The price goes back to 2012 rates at 1:25 p.m. In addition to the birthday discount, Luna Park is celebrating with FREE concerts and magic shows throughout the day, plus a chance to meet members of the Brooklyn Cyclones baseball team.
