Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the hit TV show Friends with FREE coffee at Perk Central Friends Cafe, a pop-up cafe designed to look like the popular living room set, complete with the famous rust-orange couch, where you’ll be able to take “sofa selfies”, even join “Smelly Cat” sing-alongs.
Friends of course was set in New York City. Perk Central Friends Cafe opens in Soho on September 17th.
Perk Central Friends Cafe is sponsored by show producer Warner Brothers and Eight O’Clock Coffee, which are providing the free coffee and selfie space and getting lots of free publicity the Perk Central themed brand of coffee being launched soon for grocery stores and supermarket sales.
So you’ll be able to have a cuppa joe with your TV friends Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Phoebe, and Joey, or your own friends, any time you want.
There also will be daily giveaways, trivia contests and appearances by James Michael Tyler, who played wierdo barista Gunther with the famously super-bright hair.
The Central Perk pop-up cafe will be at 199 Lafayette Street for a month, through October 18. Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on weekends.
