January 8th is always a big day for Peanut Butter & Co., the Village shop that serves up everything peanut butter, from sandwiches and cookies to shakes and sundaes. That’s because January 8th is the birthday of Elvis Presley, who loved PB sandwiches with bananas, even bacon. This shop serves up a grilled version — called The Elvis. There’s also a bagel sandwich, with cream cheese and PB, one combining PB and Fluffernutter, and one combining PB and pickles. That one is called Pregnant Lady. Save room for dessert, which includes several PB sundaes, with and without the J. Peanut Butter & Co. is at 240 Sullivan St., between Bleeker and West 3rd St., open daily. Or, set sail with Elvis on the annual Elvis Cruise, and enjoy Elvis tribute artists performing practically 24/7 There might still be an empty cabin on the 2012 cruise, January 12-16, 2012, from Jacksonville.
