South Street Seaport becomes a giant outdoor Oktoberfest this weekend, with special servings of gravity casks of craft beers from Germany and from New York State breweries. This is a ticketed event on Saturday, Oct. 11th, and the $45 ticket gets you three hours of unlimited beer, plus food samples including German-style pretzels and sausages. Plus, dancing to live music, and a commemorative beer glass.
The three-hour sessions are 11 AM to 2 PM or 3 PM to 6 PM. Purchase tickets here.
NY State craft beers include Rushing Duck, Secret Engine, Rocky Point Brewing, Third Rail, The Other Half, Bridge & Tunnel, Singlecut Beersmiths, Jonas Bronck’s Brewing, Gun Hill Brewing, and Grimm Artisanal Ales, plus Perennial Artisinal Ales from St. Louis. Nine Pin Ciders also are on tap for the South Street Seaport Oktoberfest.
Sausages are from Flying Pigs Farm, East Village Meat Market, Schaller & Weber, Fleisher’s Meats and Jimmy’s No. 43, one of the Oktoberfest organizers. Additional foods are from Cabot Cheese, Martin’s Pretzels and McClure’s Pickles.
