NYC weekend subway mess

NYC subwayJust about NYC subway is not working this weekend, or working with major changes, due to track work.

Here’s what you need to know to prevent being stranded at worst, delayed at best, in numerical and alphabetical order, or check the NYCOTC transit information search box widget, on the right side of our home page:

1 trains – not running in either direction between 14 St and South Ferry, between 11:20 pm Saturday and 5am Monday. During the shut-down, that period, uptown trains skip 18 St, 23 St and 28 St; downtown trains skip 28 St, 23 St and 18 St. Van Cortlandt Park-242 St bound 1 trains make express stops only between 96 St and 145 St between 11:45pm Friday and 5am Monday.

2 trains – not running in either direction between E 180 St and 3 Av-149 St, between 3:30am. Saturday and 10pm Sunday.

3 trains – not running in either direction between Crown Heightsts-Utica Ave and New Lots Ave. between 6:30am Saturday and 11:30pm Sunday.

4 trains -Woodlawn-bound trains will make express stops from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to 14 St-Union Sq btween 11:45pm Friday and 7:30am Sunday, and again from 11:45pm Sunday to 5am . Monday. All 4 trains will be suspended between Crown Hts-Utica Av and New Lots Av from 11:30pm Friday to 7:30am Sunday, and again from 11:30pm Sunday to 5am Monday.

5 trains – Out of service entirely from 11:45pm. Friday to 5am Monday.

6 trains – Pelham Bay Park run express from Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall to 14 St-Union Sq, between 11:45pm Friday and 5am Monday. Brooklyn Bridge-City Hall bound 6 trains run express between Hunts Point and Third  Ave-138 St during that period.

A trains – Inwood-207 St-bound A trains will reroute along the F line between Jay St-MetroTech to W 4 St-Wash Sq, between 11:45pm Friday and 5am. Monday. Brooklyn-bound A trains will skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring St between 11:45pm Friday and 6:30am Sunday, and again from 11:45pm.Sunday to 5am. Monday. From 11:45pm Friday to 5 am Monday, A trains will not run at all between Ozone Park-Lefferts Blvd and Rockaway Blvd.

C trains – 168 St-bound C trains will run along the F line from Jay St-MetroTech to W 4 St-Wash Sq from 6:30am Saturday to 11pm Sunday. On that same track on Sunday, C trains will run express from 59 St to 125 St. Brooklyn-bound C trains will skip 50 St, 23 St and Spring street from 6:30am to 11pm on Sunday.

D trains – Coney Island-Still Av bound D trains will reroute along the N line from 36 St to Coney Island-Stillwell Av, starting at 3:45am Saturday to 10pm Sunday.

E  trains – Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound E trains will make express stops from Queens Plaza to Forest Hills-71 Av, from 12:15am to 6:30amSaturday and Sunday, and again from 12:15am to 5am Monday. On the same track, from 12:15am Saturday to 5am Monday, E trains skip 75 Av and Briarwood.

F  trains – Coney Island-Stillwell Av bound F trains will reroute along the E line from Roosevelt Av to W4 St-Wash Sq, and then via the A line to Jay St-MetroTech; from 11:45pm Friday to 5am Monday. Jamaica-179 St bound F trains will make express stops only between Neptune Av and Smith-9 Sts from 11:45pm Friday to 5am. Monday. On that same track, F trains will skip 75 Av, Briarwood and Sutphin Blvd from 12:15am Saturday to 5am Monday.

J trains – Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer bound J trains will run express between Marcy Av and Myrtle Av from 6:45am to 7pm Saturday and from 8:45am. to 7pm Sunday.

L trains – trains will operate between 8 Av and Broadway Junction, and  between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway only every 24 minutes, from 7am to 7pm on Saturday and Sunday.

M trains–  Metropolitan Av-bound M trains will make express stops only between 6:45am and 7pm Saturday and from 8:45am to 7pm Sunday.

N trains –  Downtown N trains will skip 49 St from 11:45pm. Friday to 5am Monday. Astoria-Ditmars Blvd bound N trains  reroute along the D line from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to 36 St, between 11:45pm Friday and 5am Monday.

Q trains –   Manhattan-bound Q trains will run express from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park, starting at 11:15 p.m. Friday and ending at 5 a.m. Monday. Brooklyn-bound Q trains will skip 49 St from 11:45pm Fridayand 6:30am Sunday, and again from 11:45pm Sunday to 5am Monday.

R trains – Forest Hills-71 Av bound R trains will make express stops only between Queens Plaza and Forest Hills-71 Av, between 6:30am and 11pm Saturday and Sunday. Brooklyn-bound R trains will skip 49 St during that period.
