Get rid of unwanted electronics this weekend in a safe way that doesn’t pollute the environment or endanger yourself, and perhaps even win a new laptop for your eco-friendly efforts.
The Lower East Side Ecology Center is is sponsoring annual spring cleaning events weekends in May in all five boroughs. All participants will be eligible to enter a raffle for a Macbook Air courtesy of Tekserve.
Here’s what you can get rid of : working & non-working computers, monitors, printers, scanners, keyboards, mice, cables, TV’s, VCR’s, DVD players, phones, audio/visual equipment, cell phones, and video gaming equipment. We do not accept any household appliances including microwaves and other kitchen appliances.

Kips Bay East 33rd Street at 2nd Avenue (SW corner), Saturday May 17, 10:00AM – 4:00PM
Forest Hills Jewish Center, 106-06 Queens Blvd at 69th Road, Sunday May 18, 10:00AM – 4:00PM
If you can’t bring your electronics to these events, there’s year-round recycling at the E-waste Warehouse, 469 President Street (at Nevins Street), Brooklyn

- Wed | 12:00pm – 7:00pm
- Sat | 10:00am – 4:00pm
Please recycle your old electronics properly. Earth Day and Earth Week may be over, but it’s never over to care about the environment.
