New York City on the Cheap smartphone app is now updated for the new ios6 operating system.
There’s new dynamic updates, which refresh in the app as soon as I write them, and a new offline content setting so you can control exactly how uch space you use for offline content.
It’s a great complement to the NYCOTC website, and different from the website.
The app is also available for Android systems, in addition to versions for iPad and iPod. For just $2.99 for either version, you get New York City in the palm of your hand, with FREE updates.
- Click here to purchase the new New York City on the Cheap Anrdoid app on Google Play, with free updates as new versions are released.
- Click here to buy NYC on the Cheap on the iTunes store for the same $2.99 price, also with free updates as new versions are released.
The smartphone apps are different from the NYCOTC website. The app includes stores where you’ll never pay retail; the website gives you sales and sample sales happening now — or next week.
The app gives great choices for cheap eats, by location or type of food; the website gives you specific happy hour or brunch deals happening now — or next week.
The app informs you about the great big NYC festivals and parades; the website tells you about smaller street fairs and what else to do free and cheap in NYC each weekend.
The smartphone app has a GPS component, so you can find the closest kid-friendly restaurant or a picture postcard view.
Explore your inner cheapskate with NYC on the Cheap. Hey — $2.99 is less than the price of a latte, and you get free updates.
