Medical marijuana dispensaries have been growing like weeds around the USA, and New York City has joined the party. The newest dispensary, in Murray Hill, is the second in Manhattan. There also are dispensaries in Queens and Bronx.
The newest medical marijuana dispensary in NYC is run by Etain, a women-owned medical marijuana company, which also operates dispensaries in Yonkers, Kingston and Syracuse.
Under New York State law, growers can run no more than four dispensaries, so Etain is closing its Albany shop to open the NYC store, at 142 E. 39th St., near Lexington Ave., now open for business.
Etain is licensed by the New York State Department of Health to grow and sell medical marijuana, under the state’s medical marijuana law, known as the Compassionate Care Act. It is one of five companies allowed to do so by the state.
