If you or the kids are interested in science, technology or making things like your own robot, buy tickets now to the annual Maker Faire, sponsored by Disney, NASA, Google, Microsoft and other tech companies.
The 6th annual Maker Faire is the weekend of Sept 26/27 at the New York Hall of Science in Queens, and it’s one of the biggest and best annual family events in NYC.
There’s a huge range of ticket prices for adults, students and kids, from $25 to $80.
Best ticket deal: NYC on the Cheap recommends the Family Pass for $20, for up to five people, good Sunday only, and available online only.
Maker Faire also is sponsored by MAKE, the first magazine devoted entirely to Do-It-Yourself (DIY) technology projects, with an online store for DIY kits, books, and more.
Think of all the science and technology you drive, from keyless entry to blind spot monitoring and the robots on the assembly line.
There are Maker Faire festivals in other cities, too, including Orlando and San Francisco. Find the schedule on the Maker Faire website.
