A new book explores how celebrities like entertainers Barbra Streisand, Lenny Bruce and Bob Dylan, and baseball stars Sandy Koufax, helped redefine both popular culture and Jewish fame. The author of “Jewhooing the Sixties”, is speaking about being a Jewish celebrity when the word superstar really meant something. The program is 7 PM, Wednesday, February 13th, at the Center for Jewish History, 15 West 16th Street, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Tickets are $5.
