Rosh Hashonah and Yom Kippur are still weeks away, but you need to act fast to reserve a spot for your kids to build a digital 3D Sukkah at the high tech Sony Wonder Technology Lab in Midtown. Spots for FREE weekend film screenings and hands-on workshops tend to get booked weeks in advance.For those of you who don’t know, the weeklong Jewish festival of Sukkot is, essentially, a fall harvest festival, and a Sukkah is the temporary hut built in the fields for the busy harvest time, for eating and prayers.
Kids aged 8 and up can participate in the digital 3D Sukkah workshop, Thursday, October 2, 11 AM to 1 PM. There is a $5 fee per participant for supplies.
Reservations of up to four can be made by calling (212) 833-8100, and selecting option 3. Reservations can be made Monday through Friday only, beginning two weeks prior to the event date.
