Welcome back to the Intrepid Sea, Air and Space Museum, which re-opens Friday, December 21, after a two-month closure due to damage from Hurricane Sandy.
Join museum officials and local politicians at 10 a.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony, and then go visit the museum. You can also click here for a video report by the museum on Sandy recovery work.
Unfortunately, the Space Shuttle Pavillion, which houses the Enterprise, remains closed through Spring 2013 because of damage to the public areas — not to the shuttle itself.
