NYC Free: Summer Send-Off at GCT

nyc free eventsSay goodbye to summer at the three-day Summer Send-Off event in Grand Central Terminal, with FREE food tastings, circus performances, concerts by Broadway stars, face painting for the kids, and more, including gifts with purchase from GCT vendors.

Summer Send-Off is August 22-24 in Vanderbilt Hall, 11:30am to 2:30pm daily.. Participating GCT vendors include Shake Shack and Magnolia Bakery.

Tuesday, August 22

1:30PM — Musical performances from the Broadway casts of School of Rock – The Musical, Cats, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, and Kinky Boots

Wednesday, August 23

12:00PM — Kidding Around Toys presents a special music show powered by Loog Guitars

1:30PM — Musical performances and more from the Broadway cast of WICKED

  • So much happened before Dorothy dropped in. WICKED, the Broadway sensation, looks at what happened in the Land of Oz…but from a different angle.  Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood, and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships…until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “wicked.”
