See FREE Shakespeare in the park without standing on line for hours to get tickets. This is Shakespeare in Bryant Park, winding up the summer season with three weekends of Measure to Measure, starting tonight, Thursday, Sept. 1.
The Drilling Company returns to Bryant Park for the final Shakespeare play of the season, with a ten-performance run on the Upper Terrace Steps, including special Sunday afternoon picnic performances.
There are bistro-style chairs and small tables in front of the stairs, or bring a blanket and enjoy the show from anywhere on the Bryant Park Lawn.
This evenings performance is from 9pm-11pm.
Performances tomorrow, Friday, September 2, and Saturday, September 3 begin at begin at 7pm, and at 3pm on Sunday, September 4.
That’s also the same schedule for the next two weeks.
This also brings to a close the inaugural season of Bryant Park Presents, which brought a terrific selection of live music, dancing and theater to the park all summer long. Judging by the attendance at the events and the enthusiasm shown by those who came, it was a successful first season and fans can look forward to more next year.
