The popular Bryant Park Summer Film Festival returns, screening Hollywood favorites on a giant screen, includes popular comedies, dramas and sci fi thrillers this summer. All are family-friendly.
Once again, the annual Bryant Park outdoor film festival is Monday nights, on a giant screen near the Fountain Terrace at the Sixth Avenue side.
The weekly movies start Monday, June 18, again sponsored by Bank of America, and supported by Bravo, Qatar Airways, HBO, and Vulture, opens with a screening of John Hughes’ teen angst classic, The Breakfast Club, starring Molly Ringwald.
The screenings are at dusk, between 8PM and 9PM.
The Lawn opens at 5PM for film fans to pick their favorite spot, either by claiming some of Bryant Park’s bistro tables and chairs, or via a picnic blanket on the lawn.
Note that dogs are not permitted on the Bryant Park lawn.
Also again this year, there will be food available for sale from the local vendors of the Hester Street Fair.
