There are Memorial Day parades and events throughout New York City this weekend, on Sunday and Monday, honoring the service and sacrifice of the US military. All events are FREE and open to the public.

Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Memorial Day Observance
Time: 10 a.m. – noon
Location: Manhattan, New York (Riverside Dr. & 89th St.)

Brooklyn
Brooklyn’s Memorial Day Parade
Time: 11 a.m.
Route: Starts on 3rd Avenue and 78th Street in Bay Ridge; Ends at Cannonball Park on 4th Avenue and 101st Street.

Memorial Day Commemoration at Green-Wood Cemetery
Time: 2:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Location: Green-Wood Cemetery
This 20th annual Memorial Day weekend event includes a Leonard Bernstein Centennial concert. The legendary composer and conductor is buried in Green-Wood Cemetery.
- Registration is recommended to ensure space.
