Carnegie Hall Citywide returns today, kicking off five free Friday concerts featuring top classical, folk, Afro-Brazilian, Latin, Celtic, funk, and gospel artists.
The first four concerts are 90 minutes, and the final one is a fabulous four-hour extravaganza.

Back to Carnegie Hall Citywide. Here’s the lineup:
Cha Wa – High voltage music fusing fat funky beats, New Orleans-style brass, and Mardi Gras Indian spectacle.
Harlem Quartet – A passionate dedication to advancing diversity in classical music coupled with stunning virtuosity make the Harlem Quartet one of the city’s most exciting ensembles.
Carnegie Hall Citywide Night – The four-hour finale to the Carnegie Hall Citywide concert series features Matuto, Eileen Ivers, and Nathan & the Zydeco Cha Chas.
Carnegie Hall Citywide is performed on the Bryant Park Stage on Fridays, 6pm-7:30pm, July 12 through August 2; and 6pm–10pm on the final evening, August 9.
There are more than 200 blankets available to borrow at the Bryant Park Shop and info tent, so get there early before supplies run out.
Bring your own picnic dinner, or purchase food from Bryant Park vendors.
No chairs, no tables, no plastic tarps and no dogs are permitted on the Lawn.
