nyc free concertsYou could spend a couple of hundred bucks on a theater ticket, or enjoy one of these shows, concerts and other events for $20 or less. These one-night only special events in June will help you enjoy NYC on the cheap.

CeeloGreenCeeLo Green Concert and Cruise Combo– The multi-talented R&B star and TV show host performs next week at a special combo concert and cruise event that celebrates the release of his latest solo album, Heart Blanche. The evening starts with a one-hour pre-party harbor cruise, then you return to Pier 83 for this Circle Live Summer Series Concert with Atlanta R&B and soul singer CeeLo Green (Goodie Mob, Gnarls Barkley). A five-time Grammy winner, Green (who was a coach on NBC’s The Voice) will pay homage to the great music legends that inspired him, including such as Duke Ellington, Billie Holiday, Ike and Tina Turner and B. B. King, by playing new and classic CeeLo Green hits (“Crazy,” “Forget You”), plus throwback covers from those who helped shape his own music and sound.

  • One night only, Tuesday, June 7th. Walk-up price is $25-$50.

nyc discount ticketsShow Me Love – This is a gospel concert tinged with pop and jazz, featuring two groups, in one night at Lincoln Center that promises to raise the roof with great music. One is the Lincoln High School youth choir, over 80 members strong. They are joined by Minneapolis-based gospel group Darnell Davis & The Remnant, famed for their jazz-flavored take on contemporary praise music, with 15  singers and a five-piece band to provide backup for this inspirational, upbeat show.

  • One night only, Friday, June 17.
  • Tickets are FREE to $25.

nyc discount ticketsArts for Autism – Enjoy great music and dance performances by Broadway stars and support autism at the same time.  Many of those on the autism spectrum have exceptional visual, musical and academic skills, taking deserved pride in their distinctive abilities and atypical ways of viewing the world. This concert is hosted by Tony Award-winning Broadway singer-actress Kelli O’Hara and features Broadway actors, student groups and performers with autism. The special Arts for Autism one-night event features a speech from speaker-author Kerry Magro and a song written by composer Scott Evan Davis after his work with a group of autistic children in New York City. 100% of Educational Travel Adventures’ proceeds will go to Autism Speaks, the world’s leading autism science, advocacy and family services non-profit, with a mission to change the future for those who struggle with autism.
