Brazilian Day in New York is one of the city’s largest, most colorful and most musical street fairs. The event on Sunday, Sept. 1st is the 39th annual Brazilian Day in NYC, commemorating the country’s independence day and centering around Little Brazil, 46th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, with another performance stage at Madison Avenue. There are music and dance performances from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., including by Brazilian superstars Gusttavo Lima and Zeca Pagadinho, also known as Mr. Samba.
