Buy handmade Native American crafts and support college scholarships for Native American students. New York City’s own Thunderbird American Indian Dancers are holding their 37th Annual Fall Auction of unique hand-crafted jewelry, pottery and more on Saturday, November 15th, at the American Indian Community House in Chelsea.
This is a an ideal opportunity for early Christmas shopping. The auction opens with a preview and silent bidding at 6 pm, followed by the live auction at 7 pm. There’s no admission charge.
The American Indian Community House is 254 West 29th St., 2nd floor, between Seventh and Eighth Avenues.
All proceeds from this auction of beautiful jewelry, pottery and crafts benefit the Thunderbird American Indian scholarship fund, which has awarded more than 400 college scholarships since 1963.
The Thunderbird American Indian Dancers also perform regularly at museums and theaters, including the National Museum of Native Americans in Lower Manhattan.
Note that only cash and personal checks are accepted, no credit cards.
