Scam Alert: Don’t get ripped off by bogus Multiple Venue/Pay-One-Price/All Access passes for parties and events around the New Year’s Eve in Times Square. You might not be able to get past NYPD security lines to get to one or more of the events on the party list, much less all of them. Maybe even none of them.

According to the Times Square Alliance, in years past, such pass holders were refused access beyond police check points, leaving the holder frustrated and without a place to go.
With heightened security because of recent terrorist attacks in crowded places, it is more than reasonable to assume that the NYC police will take the same stance again this year.
The Times Square Alliance also warns about scalpers selling such passes on the street for exorbitant prices, including counterfeit passes.
