Movies at midnight — Starting next Friday, June 1st, and every Friday through August 31st, the Lincoln Center Film Society is showing movies at midnight. The Summer Midnight Movies series launches with a shot-by-shot remake of Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope. This is a unique tribute to George Lucas, in which nearly 500 fans shot their own animation or stop-action video to create a new version of this Star Wars installment. Later in the series, there are screenings of popular horror films including The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, and the vampire thriller Lifeforce. But it’s not all horror, there’s some comedy, too, including a showing of Richard Pryor: Live in Concert. Click here for the complete schedule.
