Most of what is happening this weekend in New York City is focused on the Tenth Anniversary of the event that changed us all forever on September 11, 2011. But not everything.
Saturday —
- The 9th Annual West Side County Fair takes over Riverside Park South from 1 p.m to 6 p.m. for rides, games and a petting zoo for kids, and a greenmarket and square dancing for grown-ups
- Third Avenue Community Festival street fair, 66th to 86th Strteets, noon to 5 p.m.
- Movie Top Gun screens for free outdoors at 8 p.m. at Coney Island’s Flicks on the Beach series
- Beatles fav St. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band screens for free indoors at the Coney Island Museum
- Pig Island BBQ and brews festival at Governors Island celebrates NY State farmers, brewers and wineries
