The 5 cent hot dogs are the original price in 1916 when Nathan’s opened its first hot dog stand, in Coney Island.
Nathan’s ran a similar 5 cent deal in 2016, celebrating its 100th anniversary, but then only at its Coney Island locations.
The one-day deal is available Noon to 5pm only, only on Wednesday, July 22nd, and there’s a limit of two hot dogs per order.
No extra charge for sauerkraut and spicy mustard, the only way real New Yorkers eat their hot dogs.
