Book tickets now for the popular Night at the Museum sleepover for kids at the American Museum of Natural History for dates through December 2019, because places sell out.
There still are spaces left for this weekend, January 19th, and in February.
This information is from 2019
There are no sleepovers at AMNH
For the remainder of 2020
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic
There also is one sleepover a year for adults only, with wine and live music. That date is in mid-February.
Here’s what the kids get –
As the doors close and the lights dim, they head out with flashlights in search of a variety of adventures.
Meet ancient relatives in the Anne and Bernard Spitzer Hall of Human Origins.
Climb the stairs and enter the Age of Dinosaurs, standing beneath a fearsome Tyrannosaurus rex.
Then check out Backyard Wilderness, now showing in 3-D in the LeFrak Theater, before the night comes to a magical close.
Settle down beneath the 94-foot-long blue whale, next to African elephants, or at the base of a striking volcanic formation and fall asleep in the darkened halls of one of the world’s most beloved museums.
The AMNH sleepover is the real version of the movie series starring Ben Stiller, including the Night at the Museum: Secrets of the Tomb with the late, great Robin Williams in one of his final roles, as Teddy Roosevelt.
The overnight adventure costs $150 per person and includes an IMAX film, evening snack and light breakfast, and guided tour of the museum with flashlights.
Check in at 5:45 p.m on Saturday evening, and check out is at 9 a.m. next morning.
