Celebrate the longest day of the year, Saturday, June 21st, with more than 1,300 FREE concerts around New York City, sponsored by Make Music.
There are performances on street corners, in parks, in houses of worship and in other locations in all five NYC boroughs, and many invite onlookers to participate by dancing, drumming, etc.
With 1,300 events, there’s no way NYCOTC can list them all. But some examples include these: take the mic at a Billy Joel sing-along, dance to simultaneous DJs under the Brooklyn Bridge, celebrate the World Cup with an international indie lineup, or join parties hosted by Astoria Music and Arts, Gemini & Scorpio and People’s Breukelen Jamwich.
Lucky for us that the Make Music website lets you search for events by type of music, location, even time, so you can find all the Hip Hop or Classical music you want, or for performances on the Upper West Side or Astoria.
