Macy’s Flower Show 2018 Opens Sunday

Macy's Flower Show 2018Get ready to smell the roses and other flowers at the annual Macy’s Flower Show, in the flagship Herald Square store.

The flowers are FREE, as are seminars on flower arranging, gardening, spring entertaining, and more, including events for kids, celebrity appearances, and the chance to win tickets to shows.  Some events require an RSVP, to ensure space.

This year’s theme is Once Upon a Springtime transforming the store into enchanted gardens of beauty and renewal and the whimsy of a fairytale journey, with princesses, evil queens, fairy godmothers, and noble knights that lead to a wondrous journey.

The 2018 Macy’s Flower Show is sprouting Sunday, March 25 through Sunday, April 8, with lavish gardens that showcase millions of live flowers, plants and trees from around the globe, taking root on store countertops, windows, and specially-designed architecture, including grand bridges, columns and topiaries.

Here’s the schedule of FREE and ticketed events:

Every Day, All Day, 3/25 to 4/8

Scent Event – Beauty & Fragrance, Main Floor

Experience the enchantment of fragrance with the return of our interactive Scent Event exhibit. Make your way past the Traveler’s Wagon and explore our curated selection of scents. Learn about the world of fragrance and how to pick a scent that matches your every mood, from fresh & understated to sexy & glamorous.

Opening Day, Sunday, March 25

Noon, 1pm & 2pm – Aromatherapy

Amber Ashley, certified aroma therapist, shares her knowledge of the incredible power of essential oils.

  • Home, 6th Floor 

1pm – Family Fun Day with Princess Peppa Pig

Meet Princess Peppa Pig, Sinclair’s Dino and more, enjoy readings of Princess Peppa and the Royal Ball and snack samples from Happy Family Brands. Plus, enter for a chance to win a family four-pack of tickets to see Peppa Pig’s Surprise at The Beacon Theatre.  Make any purchase of $35 or more in the Kid’s department to receive your own copy of the book. Additional activities include a reading circle, dance party with Sinclair Oil’s® DINO™, and organic snack samples from Happy Family Brands.

1pm & 2:00pm – Flower Crown Seminar with Rachel Cho Floral Design

Make your own flower crown in our exclusive class led by Rachel Cho Floral Design.  Draw inspiration from enchanted forests, fairies, and royalty to create a crown fit for a King or Queen.  RSVP required to ensure space and supplies.

1pm – For the Guys – Men’s Grooming & Beer Tasting 

Enjoy live music, men’s grooming tips, and a complimentary beer tasting from Heartland Brewery!

2pm – Macy’s Spring Fashion Event

Join special hosts Courtney and Kelly of Mimosas and Manhattan, as they introduce you to Macy’s The Edit, – a curated mix of fashion ideas and inspiration.

Tuesday, March 27

1pm & 2pm – Lunch Tea Time Floral Seminar with The Popup Florist

High tea and a floral seminar with creative floral design company The Popup Florist.  Learn to create your own pressed floral enchanted forest and take it home with you. With your ticket purchase, receive entrance to the class, a $10 Macy’s gift card, afternoon tea, and light bites.  Ticket purchase and RSVP required.

Thursday, March 29

6pm – Sip & Paint Class

Create your own painting as you follow along with Music Sip Paint and enjoy music, sips and light bites while you create your masterpiece.  Ticket purchase and RSVP required.

Saturday, March 31

9:30am – Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Hop into spring and delight your children at Stella 34 Trattoria’s Breakfast with the Easter Bunny. This magical event features a delightful breakfast (enhanced for 2018!) with fantastic sixth-floor views of the Empire State Building, a keepsake photograph with the Easter Bunny himself, and fabulous Easter activities to keep the little ones smiling. Reservations required

1pm – Floral Bouquet Seminar with Starbright Floral Design

Join Nic Faitos, owner and founder of Starbright Floral Design.  Follow along and learn how to create your very own enchanted forest themed bouquet to take home.  RSVP required,

1pm – Paper Flower Creations with Dreamwork Diva

Customers are invited witness a paper flower art installation come to life. Guests will enjoy music and treats from our custom candy bar.

Sunday, April 1

9:30am, 12:30pm & 2:30pm – Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

1pm & 2pm – Floral Seminar with Lexington Gardens

 

Michael Walters, lead floral designer at Lexington Gardens, shows you how to create your very own enchanted forest themed arrangement to take home. RSVP required to ensure space.

2pm –Sweety High Prom Fashion Show with the Lewis Sisters

 

Meet Sweety High Ambassadors and social media teen sensations, Madison and Riley Lewis to get the full download on prom trends during a live stream of Sweety High’s hit Live.ly show, After the Bell, featuring a performance by JJ Hannon.
